Rent your Cottage

It’s fast and easy! Find a cottage that you wish to rent, check the calendar for availability. Email Jane at: janegirodat@gmail.com with your request. If your desired week(s) is available, I will send you the booking information. A deposit of 50% of the booking fee is required to secure your reservation. The remainder of the deposit is due 30 days before you arrive. Both cottages are listed on Cottages in Canada.

There is a location map at the top of the page under Find Your Cottage. Cottage #1 is in the village of St Joseph, 72632 Duke Cr and close to the lake. It has a capacity of 12. Cottage #2 is in the village of Grand Bend, 37 Gill Road and has a capacity of 10 people (8 adults, children aged 12 and under to make a count of 10).

PLEASE NOTE YOU NEED TO TIDY THE COTTAGE UPON DEPARTURE. Cleaning supplies are provided. Kitchen catchers and garbage bags are also supplied, and garbage is picked up weekly. NOT PROVIDED: linen, blankets, pillows and bath towels.

Step 1

Find a Cottage:

#1 has a capacity of 12 adults with 2 queens, 4 twins and 4 pull out futons

#2 has a capacity of 8 adults with a max of 10 with children 12 years and under with 2 doubles, 1 queen, a pull-out sofa and 2 twins in the upstairs hall

Both will consider pets, no large dogs please

May/June/Sept is a 2-night minimum. July and August are weekly rentals

PLEASE NOTE: Murray and Jane prefer to rent to families or groups looking for relaxation only. There are no “party” cottages on this website. If you are a group you must be 25 years of age or older

Step 2

Send in the contact form or contact Jane at janegirodat@gmail.com to confirm dates etc.

You need to have your own liability insurance. Both the cottages on this website are insured by the owners. Renters need to verify their address with government issued ID. We have a contract that will be emailed for the renter to fill out.

Step 3

Put down a deposit on the cottage. Deposits are payable to Murray and Jane, the cottage owners.

Deposit

A deposit ( “Deposit”) in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the total amount of the Rental Rate payable for the Rental Period to the cottage owner.
The balance of the Rental Rate shall be payable thirty (30) days prior to the Arrival Date. Rent is paid directly to the Owner. In the event this booking is submitted less than thirty (30) days prior to the Arrival Date, the Deposit shall be the full amount of rent payable for the Rental Period.
If Interac e-transfer is not available to you, please ask about alternative arrangements.

NOTE: The cottage cleaning is included with the rental. It is your responsibility to ensure the property is left the way you found it. Please leave tidy, furniture where you found it, TV cables etc where you found them, no food in fridge, no dishes in dishwasher no garbage in house. There are cleaning supplies, vacuum, brooms, etc.
